guess what ? i score myself as scriptwriter for my english subject ! well, volunteer is more like it but whatevs. yay - i'm writing a fairytale play alongside with another mate, syida. it's called 'the new cinderella story' which is more modern and up-to-date now. Instead of cinderella works as a maid, my kind of cinderella goes to college and studies, torn between two guys and her father is actually alive. of course, a cinderella story MUST consist of a stepmother, a stepsister and fairy godmother. some ideas and inspiration comes from chick flicks like mean girls, what a girl wants, confessions of a teenage drama queen, a cinderella story and others as well. i'm so excited for the new play to be present on stage - scriptwriting may sound fun but it's actually tiring. constantly cracking your head for ideas and inspirations, more editing lines and somehow, i felt like i'm the director as well - since i'm writing the play, nobody knows better than me. it's my baby - dealing the acting and the characters is tough too. most of them are not fluent in english - so, i had to re-correct them their pronounciation, their intonation .. this is hectic ! what's more is - i've just had two quizs, one english quiz coming up and an assignment for financial accounting I. oh my goddd ! sometimes, i burn the midnight all just so i could be finishing my script or studying to up-to-date my subjects. being in college student taught me to grow up and be independant - it's kind of difficult, but i'm still coping, trying my best to drive myself. ohh well, wish me luck for my play !
